What’s in it for me? The Importance of Good Lead Magnets

So, what’s in it for me?

I bet you have heard this question hundreds of times before.

And I get it, it is in our human nature to always subconsciously ask this to ourselves, whenever someone asks us to do a favor for them or help them with something.

We are very selfish. Most of the time we just think about ourselves and we don’t really care about what other people are going through.

And this is something that you must have always in mind as a funnel builder and internet marketer.

As a rule of thumb, before asking anyone to buy something from you, you have to give away something of value for free.

Something that is very specific, addresses one of their pains and gives them a solution to your ideal customers.

That’s why having a powerful lead magnet is a key part of your digital sales process.

Let’s build your next digital sales process together!

Whenever you are writing a post for social media, recording a video, creating a new offer, etc. People should know your offer is either going to help them or not.

Gret examples of lead magnets can be:

  • Free ebooks
  • PDFs
  • Webinars
  • Free strategy sessions
  • Mini pieces of training
  • Etc.

I personally think mini pieces of training like this Bootcamp training from my mentor are the best type of lead magnets you can create. And in an upcoming email, I will explain why.

Without a good lead magnet, you will not be able to collect leads and introduce people into your sales process.

Just think about it for a second…

Why would someone give you their contact information if you don’t have anything valuable for them? That’s insane, right?

However, if you have a good lead magnet that addresses one of their pains and can really help them with their problem, they will gladly give you their email.

Once you collect emails and people are inside of your sales process, your main duty is to continue providing value to your audience and making offers from time to time so that you can transform someone who didn’t know you into a happy customer.

That is your job as a marketer and funnel builder.

Remember, at the end of the day people don’t care about you or your business. They only care about themselves and will only be interested in listening to what you have to say if you have something valuable for them.

That’s why you always have to start with the mentality of giving and then asking if you want to succeed in the online world.
